The part "[past years have] shown me the value of authenticity" speaks volumes, and should eventually be your key to political success if kept up through the years. Similar to the idea of 'in a half baked world, the those who truly accomplish have the option of being the boss' or more cynically 'in the world of the blind, the one eyed man is king', people eventually come around when chameleons and talkalots fail. Just be mighty careful of being no where near the worst offenders, Democrat or some Republicans, which in the massive catastrophe being presently spawned will be a cross between panic stricken drowning swimmers and agitated rattlers. Putting it mildly, not safe anywhere in proximity in the radical surgery necessary soon enough for the body politic. That even goes for close allies, too, Gingrich, Romney, Palin, etc, if they have enough hidden [true] liabilities.

As far as the other parts go, it may be worth again noting that the average voter pulls the lever for gut feelings which just as easily if not more so by split second abilities to be quick on one's verbal feet or charming personality or clever sound bite clips. We may well not be given the opportunity to have enough democrats which make such a huge collection of errors to not make a comeback.

For some reason, Democrats historically tend to be more able in this section. When coupled with a pliant, mostly captured liberal media, it is a very powerful combination. Even Reagan was once a Democrat, and he may have turned the medicine against the source.
