A few points here. One, so glad to hear that your major at college was
in polysci, MA in international relations. Now _that_ is more like it for politican material. I am all for diversity, but simply put geeks in public office is unheard of.

Two, so right you are about jobs/occupation is the great tonic of any age. We, even those on welfare, live much better than kings in days of old with the material sense. However, we are emotional creatures, only subsidiary to material when Maslow's 'hierarchy of needs' is insufficient, a great rarity in reality of today's America. Once those lower needs are met, the second highest rung (self esteem and esteem of others) plays in.

Having a job, any job, is at a core of our being, hence retirees often passing away within months of leaving a career. Here is where Democrats of present are torturing with cruel and inhumane treatment. Smothering the public in a tarred/feathered blanket, so to speak.
___________________________________________________________
For example, everyone normal who wants a job should have a one during usual business cycles. But to have a person or business give a job involves legal issues, like getting yourself sued, so jobs are increasingly like, er, computerized telephone numbers having you punch phone entries for an hour, forcing you to spend your time and prove commitment, not the employer/business. Why should a business have a damoclean sword hanging over its head? So in western societies, the red tape and laws force jobs to be sparingly allowed, especially for younger people or those marginal for various reasons, something straight out of Ayn Rand.

Here is where Obama is callous and calculating, apparently by design. In the 1930's, charity was a living death for many, any job was preferred.

A moving narrative brother! I have no doubt that God's will for your life will be revealed by and by. Yours is a powerful voice that has blessed me personally with regularity. Perhaps it is time to take a more entrepreneurial look at your future. More and more companies are outsourcing their IT chores, cast your net into the waters. I will donate my companies branding services to you!
